Think tank opens in New York

Economics Research Associates (ERA), the international real estate, economic development, and leisure industries consulting firm, has opened a New York office to expand its services in the Northeast United States. Kate Coburn, one of the City's premiere retail real estate experts, has joined ERA as Principal, and will manage the New York office.
ERA has been active in the New York market for more than two decades, providing consulting services on [such projects as The World Trade Center, the three major New York airports and The Museum of Natural History. Many of the firm's engagements involve large-scale developments and public private partnerships.
In the greater New York region, ERA has completed projects that include the South Stamford/Harbor Area master plan in Stamford, CT, Liberty State Park in New Jersey and major mixed use/office/retail projects for financial service companies in midtown Manhattan and Jersey City. With the opening of its Manhattan office, ERA has expanded its local presence and range of assignments.
ERA is currently developing plans to maximize retailing opportunities at Newark Airport, in Terminals A and B, and is also providing its expertise to redevelop the Port Authority Bus Terminal South Wing.

Her achievements and contributions to the real estate industry earned her the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association's Senior Real Estate. Professional of the Year Award in 1999 and in June 2000 she was named one of the 100 Women Real Estate Leaders for the 21st Century by Real Estate Weekly.
