Cushman & Wakefield honored

Cushman & Wakefield was honored for its efforts on behalf of Prudential Financial in recruiting minority suppliers and vendors at a June 3 luncheon at the Marketing & Business Expo 2003. The New York/ New Jersey Minority Purchasing Council, Inc. presented Cushman & Wakefield with a Silver Star.

Cushman & Wakefield was among several suppliers honored who have shown exceptional service to corporations and supplier diversity endeavors. Prudential has revitalized its efforts to increase spending on minority and women vendors.

"Prudential takes a great deal of pride in being a diversity leader," said Mike Perrette, vice president of Facilities Corporate Real Estate for Prudential Financial. "Cushman & Wakefield has provided leadership in the real estate sector in this field."

Cushman & Wakefield manages 8 million SF on behalf of Prudential, including properties in New Jersey, Minnesota, Florida, Arizona, Pennsylvania, California and Connecticut. Cushman & Wakefield manages 320 million SF around the world.

"Cushman & Wakefield has taken a proactive stance on diversity issues, and we are proud to be honored by the Minority Purchasing Council and Prudential," s aid Steven Ford, senior managing director of asset services and a member of Cushman & Wakefield's diversity committee.
