Real Estate Weekly, August 6, 2008
Jim Cramer, host of CNBC's Mad Money television program, will be the keynote luncheon speaker at the Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute's Annual Conference on Thursday, September 25.
Co-hosted by REBNY, the conference, entitled "Who's on First?", will provide an overview by top real estate executives about who's doing what, where and with whom, how they are faring and when they expect to have their projects completed. The Conference, to be held at Club 101, 101 Park Avenue and 40th Street, will include breakfast, two sessions and luncheon with Mr. Cramer serving as keynote.
Cramer graduated magna cure laude from Harvard College, where he was president of The Harvard Crimson. He then worked as a journalist at the Tallahassee Democrat and the Los Angeles Herald Examiner before entering Harvard Law School. Instead of practicing law, he joined Goldman Sachs, where he worked in sales and trading. In 1987, he left Goldman to start his own hedge fund. He helped start Smart Money for Dow Jones and in 1996, co-founded TheStreet.com, where he has served as a columnist and contributor ever since. In 2000, he retired from active money management to embrace media full-time.
