Erica Anne Erickson (photo) has been named director of communications for ERA Franchise Systems. Erickson will have the overall responsibilities of public relations, internal publications and communications, ERAtv, and Audio/Video Express programs.

Prior to joining ERA, Erickson served as public relations manager for the hotel division of Cendant Corporation. She also served as the public relations program manager for the Dialogic Corporation and as the manager of internal communications for The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. Erickson has worked as a news director, anchor, and reporter for a variety of mid-market radio stations.

Erickson has also acted as an independent public relations consultant to commercial and non-profit organizations.

Erickson is a candidate for an M.A. degree in public relations at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Minnesota with a degree in journalism.

The Bemstein Companies (TBC) of Washington, D.C., one of Washington's most respected commercial real estate development, investment and management organizations, announced that Luis Jose Guevara, Jr. has joined the company as director of property management.

Mr. Guevara brings to The Bemsteitl Companies more than 15 years of extensive property management experience, as well as familiariry with all aspects of commercial and residential real estate. Mr. Guevara and his staff will be managing TBC's corporate owned properties and Consortium Capital properties.

Rockwood Realty Associates, LLC is pleased to announce that Ed Jinn (photo) has recently joined the firm as an associate.

Formerly Jinn served as a senior consultant with EY Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group, the real estate arm of Ernst & Young, LLP. While working at E&Y, Jinn was involved in diverse engagements serving the real estate and financial services industries, which included providing consulting services to public REITs and RE Opportunity Funds, providing acquisition due diligence, market analysis, underwriting and financial modeling of real estate portfolios. Jinn' s responsibilities also encompassed the acquisition due diligence of an international bank, developing a debt portfolio cash flow model, and performing portfolio loan sale due diligence.

Prior to joining Ernest & Young, Jinn served as a development/ acquisition analyst for Lincoln Property Company, a national real estate services firm. His primary responsibilities there included developing financing proposals for potential development and the acquisition of multifamily properties.

Jinn holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Longwood College.

David R. Zurheide (photo) has joined The Kalian Companies in the newly-created position of vice president of land acquisition.

In his new position, Zurheide will be responsible for the identification and acquisition of residential development sites, as well as pursuing government approvals and performing market research.

Prior to joining The Kalian Companies, Mr. Zurheide served two years as director of land acquisition and development at the Tadian Development Company in Troy, Mich. He also worked for nine years at Red Bank, New Jersey-based Hovnanian Enterprises where he began as land acquisitions coordinator and eventually became regional department head of land acquisition/market research.

A resident of Middletown, Mr. Zurheide holds an M.B.A. in business administration from the Wharton School of Business and a B.A. in the same field from Georgian Court College.

Deborah Meeks (photo) has been promoted from the position of vice president of marketing to senior vice president of marketing at ERA Franchise Systems (ERA), a real estate franchise firm.. Meeks is responsible for guiding all marketing initiatives, including advertising, public relations, event marketing, direct marketing and the growing ERA marketing presence on the World Wide Web.

Meeks has more than 20 years of franchise marketing and sales experience. She previously served as the vice president of sales at Prime Hospitality Corporation. During her six-year stay there, revenues grew by 48% at the properties under her management, which included the Radisson, Sheraton, Ramada, Hilton, and Holiday Inn. Prior to joining Prime Hospitality, Meeks served as the vice president of sales and marketing for Days Inn Management Company, where she oversaw sales and marketing efforts for properties throughout the continental U.S.

Continuing to grow its investment sales team, Rockwood Realty Associates LLC announced that David Monahan (photo) has joined as the firm as an associate vice president.

Prior to joining Rockwood, Mr. Monahan was an associate with Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc. As a member of its investment sales group, he was responsible for the coordination of disposition efforts for various Lend Lease advisory clients, including contract negotiations, purchaser qualification/selection, due diligence and financial analysis. During his tenure at Lend Lease, Mr. Monahan participated in more than $1.5 billion in asset sales.
