Greenburger main speaker at B'nai B'rith fall luncheon

Francis Greenburger, chairman and chief executive officer of Time Equities, Inc., will speak at the season's first B'nai B'rith real estate unit luncheon.

The luncheon will take place on Wednesday, October 1, at noon at the Cornell Club, located at 6 E. 44th St.

His topic will be "Developing Real Estate in Today's Challenging New York City market."

"As founder and guiding force behind Time Equities, Greenburger has earned recognition for his ability to anticipate and capitalize on real estate trends and changing market conditions," said Harry Zlokower, co-chair of the B'nai B'rith real estate unit.

"We look forward to hearing his views on the market and learning about new projects Time Equities has in development."

Established in 1968, Time Equities has been in the real estate investment, development, asset and property management business for more than 30 years. The company currently holds in its portfolio approximately 12.5 million SF of residential, industrial, office and retail space, including more than 3,300 multi-family apartment units.

Greenburger is well known throughout the industry for his ability to anticipate real estate trends and changing market conditions.

TEI was one of the market leaders in the cooperative conversion business in New York City, having converted more than 96 buildings.

More recently, TEI took the lead in the conversion of obsolete office buildings into residential apartments in the Wall Street area.

Currently, Greenburger is working on several projects in Long Island City, Queens and Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

TEI is also pursuing two ground-up development deals in the city of Freeport, N.Y. in partnership with the local government in its strategy to revitalize downtown.

Greenburger is also the founder and principal benefactor of the Art Omi International Arts Center, a not-for-profit arts colony and educational center which hosts residency programs for visual artists, writers and musicians from all over the world.
