Bank's high-speed digital cameras ensure customer safety
Real Estate Weekly, Sept 3, 2003
City & Suburban Federal Savings Bank will introduce its special brand of neighborhood banking to Pelham Bay community.
The Bank plans to open its newest branch at 1745 Crosby Ave. in September 2003.
"We have a long and proud history of service to Bronx residents, and we're especially pleased to be part of the Pelham Bay community," said Thomas Schettino, president and chief managing officer at City & Suburban.
The Pelham Bay branch will offer a variety of services, including high-interest checking, the popular Cheap Checking account, ATM services, as well as the traditional passbook savings account.
All platform representatives at the branch will be licensed New York State insurance agents who can offer advice to consumers.
Most importantly City & Suburban's high-tech security will make this branch one of the safest bank branches in the city.
"Our new branch will have the most advanced bulletproof teller windows," said City & Suburban senior vice president Richard Karpowich.
"We have also incorporated the latest technology in high-speed, high-resolution enhanced imaging digital cameras, making grainy black and white surveillance images a thing of the past and aimed at deterring crime. Our cameras will be on constantly, which means added security. They do not sequentially move from one camera to the next, so you no longer have as much as 25 to 30 seconds between pictures."
"Each camera is taking a picture 100% of the time. The Pelham Bay branch will be the latest branch of City & Suburban Federal Savings Bank to have this high-tech security and crime prevention technology that provides safety for both bank employees and our customers."
