Spectrum Skanksa raises $40,000 in March of Dimes walk April 28
Real Estate Weekly, July 24, 2002
Spectrum Skanksa, the residential builder/developer, recently raised more than $40,000 for the March of Dimes when more than 250 employees, family, and friends of the firm participated in the annual March of Dimes Walk America on April 28.
Despite heavy rain, the Spectrum Skanska group showed their dedication to saving babies by walking through downtown White Plains with numerous volunteers. Walk America, the March of Dimes biggest fundraiser, is designed to support lifesaving research and innovative programs to save babies born prematurely or with birth defects.
"We are thrilled that so many of our employees, along with their friends and family, joined together to make this fundraising event such a huge success," said Mitchell Hochberg, president and CEO of Spectrum Skanksa. "Through its many programs, including Walk America, the March of Dimes continues to help give babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health, and Spectrum Skanska is proud to support this important mission."
Hochberg is a member of the board of directors of the March of Dimes Westchester division and has served as director of the March of Dimes Charity annual dinner for the past three years. In 1999, he was named March of Dimes Volunteer of the Year.
