Garrick-Aug's Consolo to be honored at Plaza fundraiser

Real Estate Weekly, July 23, 2003

The Capuchin Food Pantries, based out of St. John's Church on 31st Street, is hosting its first-ever "August Tea at the Plaza" fundraiser on Wednesday, August 13th.

Funds raised will help to feed, clothe and counsel more than 1,000 underprivileged families in New York City.

The event will take place at The Plaza Hotel, and will commence with a formal reception in the hotel's Baroque Suite and Louvre. Following the reception, a tea will be held in the Baroque Room.

As part of the event, Capuchin will present ten prominent New York women with a "Women of Valor" award for outstanding leadership in the community.

Faith Hope Consolo, vice chair-woman of Garrick-Aug Worldwide, Ltd. will be one of the honorees.

"Since the tragic events of September 11th and the downturn of the economy, the food bank has experienced a more than 30% increase in clientele," explained Consolo. "I urge everyone in the real estate industry to show their support for this important cause."

Individual seats for the August event are available for $350 per person, $200 of which is tax deductible.
