Resnick honored by FEGS

Scott Resnick, president & COO of Jack Resnick & Sons, Inc. was honored at F E G S Inaugural Benefit Dinner, called "Partnerships for A Changing World," April 9 at The Pierre.

F E G S, the nation's largest not-for-profit health and human services system, reaches more than 70,000 individuals and families each year, and 9,000 each day at more than 280 locations throughout metropolitan New York.

F E G S, a beneficiary of UJA-Federation and United Way of New York City/Long Island, has been in the forefront of specialized outreach, counseling and employment assistance to thousands of individuals affected by Sept. 11.

Through Scott Resnick's efforts and generosity, working with F E G S and representatives from Newmark & Company Real Estate, Inc., F E G S established The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Health Related and Human Services Center, at Hudson Square, Manhattan. This F E G S complex is the largest and most diversified Center of its kind in the United States.

Honorary chairs for the event were: James S. Tisch, president & CEO, Loews Corporation and F E G S Board Member; Joseph Stein. Jr., managing director, Neuberger Berman and F E G S president /chair; and Jerry I. Speyer, president & CEO, Tishman Speyer Properties. F E G S board members Barry Fingerhut, president,. OBO Capital Corporation; Barry Gosin, vice chairman & CEO, Newmark & Company Real Estate, Inc.; Richard Isserman, retired partner, KPMG LLC; and Patty Silverstein, president, Devon served as co-chairs for this inaugural event. Mayor Michael Bloomberg was on hand to greet some 650 guests at the evening's event, hosted by Ernie Anastos, Anchor, CBS 2 News, which raised more than $1 million.
