Insignia/ESG Inc. announced that Karen Daly has been appointed executive managing director of the company's Philadelphia operations. She assumes the responsibility for overseeing the company's strategic services provider program and developing new business opportunities in the mid-Atlantic region.

Daly most recently oversaw Insignia/ESG's property services operations in the New England, New York, and the mid-Atlantic region. She has more than 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, with emphasis on operations, asset management, brokerage oversight and interaction, financing, and development

Daly is a past recipient of Insignia/ESG's Distinguished Service Award. She holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Maryland.

Mark B. Fuller has joined AFC Realty Capital as managing director of hospitality services. He will be responsible for overseeing the firm's continued development of its hospitality services division, as well as supervising its Midwest office. Fuller will be based in AFC's New York City office.

Prior to joining AFC Realty, Fuller was president of Fuller Property Company, Inc. (FPC), a company he founded in 1989 to provide commercial real estate services to the Indianapolis market. Fuller has competed 40 hotel sales and closed more than 4,605 guest rooms transactions in exclusive service assignments.

Fuller has a B.A. from Indiana University. He holds brokers licenses in multiple states.

Houlihan/Lawrence announced that Stephen Montano has joined its Katonah office as a licensed sales associate.

Prior to joining Houliham/Lawrence in 1999, Montano was a sales associate with Coldwell Banker. He has received several industry awards, including the annual Silver Sales Awards from Houlihan/Lawrence and "Sales Associate of the Month" from Coldwell Banker.

Montano holds a B.S. in banking and money management from Adelphi University. He volunteers for fundraisers such as the "Light the Night" and "Snowball Softball."

The Staubach Company announced that Stevan Sandberg has joined the firm as president of its advisory services. Sandberg, based in Staubach's New York office, will direct the group that will formalize the firm's existing strategic planning services and financial consulting capabilities.

Prior to joining Staubach, Sandberg spent more than 13 years as a top executive with Cushman & Wakefield. Most recently he served as executive managing director of the company's advisory services group, and was a member of its board of directors and its executive committee.

Sandberg currently serves on the executive committee of the Regional Plan Association, and is also a board member of the International Association of Attorneys & Executives in Corporate Real Estate and the American Arbitration Association. He holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Sinvin Realty Corp. announced that Susan Needles has joined the company as a salesperson.

Needles brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to Sinvin. Most recently, she was a consultant to Time Warner City Cable, a division of AOL/time Warner. Needles' clients have included AOL/Time Warner, RSA Films, Spotwired.com, and other high-end television commercial production companies.

Needles is a member of the New York Women in Film & Television and the Advertising Women of New York. She is also an affiliate of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers.

Rothe-Johnson-Fantacone announced several new appointments.

* Jonathan R. Vergara has joined Rothe-Johnson-Fantacone as project manager. He will be responsible for coordinating designs, planning, programming, bid packages, and cost control.

Vergara spent ten years as a project manager at James Kissane Architect, LLC. While there, he was involved in the design of hotels, ice skating facilities, stadiums, residential projects, retail, healthcare, and office buildings.

Vergara is a graduate of Drexel University with a B.A. in architecture.

* Carolyn Michaelson has joined Rothe-Johnson-Fantacone as interior designer. She will be responsible for providing design solutions for office buildings, colleges, and municipal facilities.

Michaelson is a graduate of Brookdale Community College.

* Jose Lazaro M. Arevalo has joined Rothe-Johnson-Fantacone as designer. He will be responsible for office, healthcare, educational, industrial, and municipal projects throughout New Jersey.

Previously, Arevalo was a designer/job captain at Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers. Arevalo is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas Philippines, with a B.S. in architecture.

* Kathryn Bacskocky has joined Rothe-Johnson-Fantacone as executive assistant She will be responsible for marketing and public relations coordination and contract administration. Previously, Bacskocky was an administrative assistant at Adecco Staffing in Princeton. She is a graduate of Katherine Gibbs.

Rothe-Johnson-Fantacone announced the appointment of Mieszko B. Niedzwiecki, AIA, SARP, as director of design. He will head the firm's design department, providing design guidance to the staff and serving as a project architect/manager on identified projects in the office, healthcare, and educational markets.
