Spice building sold

Real Estate Weekly, Sept 22, 2004

Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates Inc., has arranged the $2.75 million sale of the LaFlor Spice Building, 1930 Troutman Street, in the Ridgewood section of Queens, to Cosco Soap & Detergent Co.

LaFlor Spice will relocate to a new facility in Hauppauge, Long Island, and Cosco is moving its operations from an existing plant in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn. The company formulates, manufactures and distributes many lines of its own soaps and detergents for industrial applications ranging from kitchen grease cutters and janitorial supplies to aircraft grade detergents and machine parts washers.

The all-cash sale closed in less than 30 days, according to Avrum Lieber of Kalmon Dolgins Affiliates, Inc., who represented the seller. Cosco was represented by Fred Rufrano and James Dario, also of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates.
