Citigroup tops mag's ranking

For the fifth: year running, Citigroup ranks as the World's largest global custodian, charged with the Safekeeping of nearly $4.2. trillion in cross-border assets; according to Institutional Investor magazine's annual international custody ranking.

Citi outdistances its nearest rival, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., by nearly $1.6 trillion. J.P. Morgan Chase repeats in second place with $2.6 trillion in global assets under custody followed by Bank of New York, in global custody assets in its care.
