Music academy facelift
Real Estate Weekly, Sept 24, 2003
Indicative of its exciting and creative work on behalf of non-profit institutions, Design Laboratories, a cutting-edge architecture firm based in New York City, recently saw its designs come to life with the completion of The Brooklyn Academy of Music's (BAM) planning, marketing and design offices at 30 Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn, NY.
The completion of the office interiors comes on the heels of the much-touted restoration of BAM's candy wrap facade.
Designed by the dynamic architecture team of Karen Frome and David Ruff, principals of Design Laboratories, the interiors not only update the look of the offices, located on the fourth and fifth floors of the Opera House building, but now also reflect the progressive nature of BAM's productions.
