Prudential CRES Commercial Real Estate and jointly owned Soundview Property Management appointed Robert D. Harwood as chief operating officer of both companies. Harwood, also a certified public accountant, brings to the position expertise and a proven track record as a senior real estate and corporate executive spanning over 25 years.

Directly prior to joining Prudential CRES, he served as chief operating officer and principal of Century Operating Corporation, a post he held since 1991.

His career also includes his positions as vice president and chief financial officer with Grayside Realty Group, Inc. and vice president and chief financial officer with the real estate division of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Inc.

Harwood holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Baruch College of C.U.N.Y and an M.B.A. in controllership and finance from New York Institute of Technology from which he graduated with distinction. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
