CBRE chosen for InformationWeek 500
Real Estate Weekly, Oct 15, 2008
CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) announced that it has been selected for the prestigious 2008 InformationWeek 500. That publication's annual list identifies and honors the nation's most innovative users of information technology. 2008 marks the second consecutive year that CBRE been selected to the InformationWeek 500.
A key element in CBRE's inclusion in the InformationWeek 500 was the company's launch in 2007 of MarketStrike[TM], the commercial real estate industry's first portfolio management system that helps companies manage strategic decisions about how and when to renegotiate, renew, or exit leases. Using current and forecasted market rent data from CBRE's Torto Wheaton Research, MarketStrike[TM] automatically determines whether contract rents are at, above or below market levels, enabling clients to realize significant cost savings.
"Innovative use of technology combined with deep market knowledge is central to CBRE's ability to deliver smart solutions that meet our clients' needs," said Don Goldstein, Chief Information Officer for CB Richard Ellis. "Our selection to the InformationWeek 500 is not only a great honor, it reinforces the value of our approach and the power of our platform."
"For 20 years, the InformationWeek 500 has honored the most innovative users of business technology," said InformationWeek Editor-in-Chief Rob Preston. "Year after year, InformationWeek 500 companies harness technology to improve efficiency, boost productivity, drive revenue, and establish a competitive advantage. We applaud this year's winners, and the CIOs and other executives whose ingenuity and risk taking are at the center of business technology innovation."
