Ciardullo Associates opens new office in Hackensack, New Jersey

Real Estate Weekly, Oct 3, 2001

The Manhattan-based architectural firm John Ciardullo Associates, P.C. has established a New Jersey office in Hackensack to step up its activities in the Garden State, according to John Ciardullo, the firm's principal.

With a 30-year record of accomplishment, John Ciardullo Associates is particularly noted for designing public facilities, including community centers, libraries and schools in New Jersey, New York City and Westchester County.

The new office, at 375 Main St. in Hackensack, will enable the firm to pursue school design assignments undertaken as a result of New Jersey's multi-billion-dollar commitment to a massive school-building campaign. John Ciardullo Associates has been prequalified by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority to provide architectural services for large-scale school projects.

"We are strong believers in designing schools that serve as anchors for their communities, enlivening them through multiple uses by students, teachers, staff and people in the neighborhood," Ciardullo says. "We are also committed to designing with high performance building standards where environmental sensitivity and energy efficiency are achieved.

"The opportunity to design such schools in New Jersey was too exciting to pass up. Our new office will allow us to be closer to our clients. And I'm delighted at the prospect of adding to our legacy in the state, which includes St. Peter's Park and Recreation Center in Newark and the South Paterson Library and Community Center."

The firm, already active in New Jersey with several school renovation projects, including Holy Cross School in Harrison and McKinley School in Newark, is looking forward to developing strong relationships with school boards and supervisory authorities.
