New warehouse slated for Hamilton complex
Real Estate Weekly, Oct 3, 2001
Matrix Development Group will soon be constructing a new warehouse/distribution facility at the business park located at Interchange 3A of Interstate Highway I-195. Approvals were given for the construction of the facility at a recent Hamilton township Planning Board meeting.
The park, known as I-195 Business Park, is a 145-acre light industrial park, whose current occupant is GATX (owned by Keystone). GATX occupies an approximately 585,000 SF distribution center on 45 acres of the property. The park is master-planned to accommodate the new building, as well as up to 100,000 SF of first class office space.
This state-of-the art facility will offer the hallmarks of quality to be found in all Matrix buildings. With this building, Matrix will be constructing more than 5.5 million SF of industrial product throughout New Jersey this year.
"I-195 Business Park enjoys high accessibility and visibility along Interstate 195, the state's major east-west artery," said Jim Murray, development project manager with Matrix. "With its proximity to the NJ Turnpike and easy access to the New York area and other major cities on the East Coast, we believe this location will have a strong approach to businesses who need that access."
