Olympic Tower space being leased by Garrick-Aug

Real Estate Weekly, Oct 3, 2001

The leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo and Joseph Aquino of Garrick-Aug Worldwide, Ltd., along with senior retail consultant, Ferne Glanzrock, have been named exclusive leasing agent for the approximately 2,200 SF ground level restaurant space in the Olympic Tower, 645 Fifth Avenue, at 51st Street.

"The Olympic Tower rises into the sky, across Fifth Avenue from Rockefeller Center, across 51st Street from St. Patrick's Cathedral, and a block up from Saks Fifth Avenue," says Faith Hope Consolo, vice chairman. Some of the corporate tenants are the National Basketball Association, Banque Francaise du Commerce, Hugo Boss, USA, and Olympic Airways.

"Fifth Avenue, as I have often said, from 47th Street to 60th Street, Luxury Walk, has the most pedestrian traffic of any comparable boulevard in the world. It is an international symbol of fashion, wealth, and glamour, which is stronger than ever before, for recently, the Avenue and Rockefeller Center have undergone a marvelous renewal. Olympic Tower has undergone a renewal of its own - the restaurant space has been completely renovated -- it is wonderful; it has Life!"

"The area surrounding 645 Fifth Avenue is truly a paradise for shoppers and tourists. The neighboring retailers are Armani A/X, Gant U.S.A. Cartier, H. Stern, H & M, Jimmy Choo, Gianni Versace, Liz Claiborne, Salvatore Ferragamo, Saks Fifth Avenue. Brooks Brothers. St. John Knits, and The NBA Store. There is also Rockefeller Center with its stores and shops, including Sephora, Kenneth Cole, Crabtree & Evelyn, Cole Haan, Teuscher Chocolates, Montblanc, Banana Republic, Erwin Pearl, and many more.

"The restaurant space in the Olympic Tower is splendid," continues Aquino, managing director, "predominantly pink granite and glass, with 40foot ceilings, and a triple waterfall. The reliefs on the walls are original castings of marbles from the Parthenon, dating from the fifth century BC. It is a combination of elegance and serenity, offering sublime surroundings that would even be appreciated by the original inhabitants of Olympus, not to mention foot-weary shoppers and sightseers stopping by for something to eat and to relax, before continuing on their way. It is the ideal location for a cafe.
