Argentinean firm signs at WTC - commercial space leased by Cordoba Trade Center at World Trade Center, New York, New York

Real Estate Weekly, Nov 11, 1992

An Argentinean company, Cordoba Trade Center, has become the first company from Argentina to occupy space in the World Trade Center.

Eduardo Barbera, director of the firm, said his offices will move Nov. 1 to a 1,733-square-foot suite on the 15th floor of One World Trade Center. The company leaves its present space at 230 Fifth Avenue, where it had been for four years. The firm's new five-year lease is worth an aggregate value of $210,000. Cordoba Trade Center facilities trade between Argentina and the United States, providing market research and handling shipping, freight and customs matters for clients.

The move, Barbera stated, allows the company to take advantage of the specialized trading services available at the World Trade Center location. These include the World Trade Institute, a leading provider of seminars, courses and conferences on International business and finance, and the Institute's Evening School of World Trade, which provides practical training in International transportation, operations and trade.

The transaction was handled by George F. Donohue.
