40-acre site for sale in Purchase - Purchase section of Harrison, New York

Woodbrook Farm, one of the last remaining development sites in the exclusive Purchase section of Harrison, is being marketed for sale, it was announced by Houlihan/Lawrence Inc., the exclusive sales agent for the property.

The listing price for the property is $3.9 million.

The 40-acre wooded property, which is located on Purchase Street, is the former estate of the Cullman family, which once maintained a mansion and horse farm on the site. While the mansion and horse farm are gone, the property features many large mature trees and numerous stone walls. A half-acre pond is also located on the property.

An application is currently pending before the Harrison Planning Board for an 18-lot subdivision. The owner of the property is Alamit Properties Co. of Rye Brook.

The site, which is located just 20 miles from midtown Manhattan, is in the heart of one of the nation's most important corporate communities. Major corporations with headquarters facilities nearby include IBM, Texaco, PepsiCo, General Foods and International Paper. Nearby are also several world-class golf courses, yacht clubs the recently opened Keio University Japanese High School.

The property also abuts a recently approved golf residential community that will feature estate homes and a championship golf course.
