Americas Tower leases 43,000 sf to Wausau - commercial space leased to Employers Insurance of Wausau A Mutual Co. in New York, New York

Americas Tower, the 1-million square-foot office building on Avenue of the Americas at 46th Street, has passed the 50 percent leasing mark in nearly six months, with its recent announcement that Wausau Insurance has signed at 10-year lease for 43,000 square-feet of regional office space at the building.
The international underwriter, based in Wisconsin, had maintained it regional office at 1633 Broadway, but plans to complete the move to Americas Tower in April of 1993.
As a result of this transaction, Americas Tower has now exceeded the 50 percent leasing mark -- reached only six months after the official opening of the building. In addition to Wausau, the prestigious roster of Americas Tower's tenants, include: Price Waterhouse, Bank Hapoalim, Peterson Consulting and NHK (Japan Broadcasting Co.).
Americas Tower was represented in the transaction by Cushman & Wakefield. Wausau Insurance was represented by Joseph Hilton & Associates. KG A&A Corp., the owner of Americas Tower, is a subsidiary of Kumagai Gumi Co., Ltd. which is involved in many diverse and specialized building and civil engineering projects worldwide.
