C&W teams with Enersave to provide national energy-efficiency services
Real Estate Weekly, Nov 19, 1997
Together, Cushman & Wakefield and Enersave will offer integrated energy services which will help owners and tenants take control of and significantly lower their utility costs, according to the companies.
"We are delighted to be able to offer comprehensive integrated energy services to our clients," said John Santora, senior managing director of Asset Services for Cushman & Wakefield. "Given our 80-year history of managing office and industrial assets, we understand the financial implications energy costs have on an owner's bottom line. Our alliance with Enersave formalizes an existing working relationship and will allow us to aggressively develop customized energy-efficiency and procurement programs, resulting in hard dollar savings for our clients immediately and into the future."
"We've proven our value to owners throughout New York and New Jersey and look forward to applying our programs to properties and portfolios nationwide," said Enersave President Dennis T. Wilson. "This alliance will set a new and unparalleled standard for service among real estate firms."
Enersave is one of the largest energy services companies in New York and has earned a reputation for excellence working with many of the region's largest property owners and managing agents. The firm is recognized for having saved its local clients more than $40 million in utility costs.
The Cushman & Wakefield/Enersave alliance will provide energy services in three major areas. First, the alliance will offer its clients comprehensive energy-efficiency services. These will include building audits, lighting, motor, HVAC and control upgrades for greater power efficiency and lower end costs. Clients will be able to choose which projects to undertake, and financing will be available for all qualified clients.
The second service offered involves taking advantage of new opportunities to purchase energy competitively. The alliance will solicit, evaluate and recommend energy supply proposals for the competitive purchase of electricity. Clients will then have their existing power supply needs filled at a lower cost.
The alliance will also offer its clients "real time" or "intelligent" metering. Enersave will use advanced metering hardware to provide detailed energy usage reports and access building demand instantaneously. This information will then be used to help property owners and/or managers make the best power decision in the new competitive electric supply environment.
