Phillips Janson completes 4-year plan for Time Life - Phillips Janson Group Architects P.C. completes retrofitting modification on Time and Life Building for Time Inc - Architecture & Interior Design

Real Estate Weekly, Dec 16, 1992

The Phillips Janson Group Architects, P.C., a New York-based architectural and interior design, firm has announced the completion of a 650,000-square-foot restack and retrofit of the Time & Life Building for Time Inc. The four-year project, which came to a close with the recent completion of Money magazine's offices, involved both corporate and individual magazine offices at Time Inc., the publishing arm of Time Warner Inc. Offices for six other publications were redesigned as part of the project. These include Entertainment Weekly, Life, People, Sports Illustrated, Sports Illustrated for Kids, and Time.

Dennis Janson was principal in charge of the Time Warner account.

Since beginning the Time Inc. assignment in 1988, The Phillips Janson Group has also secured a number of other prominent publishing-industry clients. Two projects are currently underway in New York and Los Angeles for Billboard Communications. The publisher of arts and entertainment magazines moved into new 40,000-square-foot Los Angeles quarters in November of this year. These offices house the headquarters for The Hollywood Reporter, and six other Billboard publications. Billboard's corporate headquarters in New York, which will total 120,000 square feet at 15 15 Broadway, will be completed in January 1993.
