$6.8M mortgage extension arranged for 80 Fifth Ave.
The Finance Division of Helmsley-Spear, Inc. negotiated a $6.8 million first mortgage extension on 80 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Earle Altman, senior vice president of the Division, made the announcement. Ira G. Feiler, vice president and Manhattan Mortgage Specialist, acting as consultant, represented the borrower.
The 16-story, 131,800-square-foot office building is located on the southwest corner of Fifth Avenue and 14th Street. According to Feiler, the building's high level of rent has been maintained even in this difficult market and the building is currently 96 percent leased.
