Newmark arranges consolidation

Pantone, Inc., the international source for color communication products and color systems, will move to a new and larger building in January, 1993. Pantone's current offices will consolidate at the new address, 590 Commerce Avenue, Carlstadt, New Jersey. The 78,500-square-foot building previously was occupied by Ralph Lauren/Polo.

Richard Doolittle of Newmark Real Estate Services represented Pantone in the 10-year lease transaction, which has an aggregate value in excess of $5 million.

Lawrence Herbert, Pantone president and CEO, developed the Pantone Matching System in 1963, revolutionizing the graphic arts industry with a system for selecting, communicating and controlling the use of color in products world-wide. This global standard has been paint, plastic, textile, film and video industries.
