In Tenafly, 'bookend' warehouse

The new 24,000-square-foot office/warehouse building for Palisades Pharmaceutical Company looks strikingly similar to its neighbor across Summit Street in Tenally, New Jersey, which provides offices and warehousing for Glenwood Pharmaceutical Company.

"We completed the Glenwood building two years ago," explained Eduardo Dutra, AARK vice-vresident of operations. "Several Glenwood principals are also involved with Palisades, so when the time came to build its new corporate office/warehouse structure, they asked for more of the same."

But the two-story Palisades complex, which will be completed next spring, is not identical to the older structure. While Ridgefield Park, New Jersey-based architects Bilow Golderb and Associates used similar materials and design treatments, the new building displays a number of visual elements that give it an identity of its own.
