JGT arranges Hudson County sale

Real Estate Weekly, Jan 19, 1994

Jacobson, Goldfarb & Tanzman Associates (JGT) recently arranged for Hudson County Community College to purchase the 55,000 square foot Pathside at Journal Square building, located at 25 Journal Square in Jersey City. The announcement was made by Stanley Simon, SIOR, a partner in the Woodbridge-based, full-service commercial brokerage firm.

"Involving brokers from JGT's West Orange and Woodbridge offices, the recent transaction shows the value of close cooperation and teamwork between its associates, as well as displaying JGT's strength of presence in the Hudson County market," said Simon. West Orange-based, JGT vice president Dennis Gralla and assistant vice president Jim Sousa, together with Woodbridge-based senior vice president Robert' Dinner, arranged for Hudson Community College to purchase Pathside at Journal Square. A JGT exclusive, Pathside at Journal Square is a newly refurbished building located in Jersey City's Journal Square business district. Offering an outstanding location, transportation and operational cost benefits, Pathside at Journal Square has the unique advantage of being immediately adjacent to both the Journal Square PATH station and the Port Authority bus terminal.

Along with its proximity to PATH train and bus service, Pathside at Journal Square is within easy reach of many of northern New Jersey's major roadways. The New Jersey Turnpike and Route 1-78 are within minutes of the building, as are Routes 1, 9, 280 and the Garden State Parkway. Journal Square itself provides numerous advantages. The area abounds in convenient retail establishments, from banks and restaurants to other service related businesses.

JGT represented the building owner, Margulies Associates, in the transaction. Hudson County Community College was represented by Antonicello and Company.
