Helmsley negotiates sale of Tennessee - Helmsley-Spear Inc. sells Chapman Plaza Shopping Center in Knoxville, Tennessee

Helmsley-Spear's finance and sales division has negotiated the sale of the Chapman Plaza Shopping Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. The announcement was made by Earle Altman, senior vice president of the division.

Vice president Ira Schonfeld and Leonard Levin of Helmsley-Spear were the brokers in the $5.2 million transaction.

Chapman Plaza is a community-size retail center containing 149,407 net rentable square feet. Built in 1974 and expanded in 1986, the shopping center is situated on 19 acres and includes parking for 790 automobiles. Major tenants include Winn-Dixie, Lowe's, Revco and Radio Shack.
