Dannon Company takes 37,000 sf in Tarrytown

The Dannon Company, one of the best known yogurt makers/consumer products company in the country, has signed a long-term lease for 37,000 square feet of space at the Christiania Building, 120 White Plains Road in Tarrytown, announced Newmark & Company Real Estate, the building's exclusive leasing and managing agent for the owner, Mitsubishi Bank and Trust.
Dannon, which is relocating from 1111 Westchester Avenue in White Plains, will occupy the entire fifth floor and a portion of the fourth floor. In its new corporate headquarters Dannon will join such prestigious tenants as Christiania General Insurance Company, Unum Life Insurance Company and Mutual of America.
John Goodkind is the executive director of Newmark's Westchester/Fairfield office.
As part of Dannon's long-term deal, the building will be expanding ar.d modernizing the cafeteria facilities.
The Christiania Building is a six-story, modern office building located at the crossroads of 287, I-87 and Route 119 in Tarrytown. Built in 1994, the 205,000-square-foot building features many modern conveniences and an elegant design.
Harold Wagner of The Wagner Group represented Dannon in this transaction. Newmark's Executive Vice President Ronald Goldberger (based in New York City) and John Goodkind represented the landlord, Mitsubishi Trust and Banking Corporation, in this transaction.
