Newmark gets Plaza 57 exclusive
Real Estate Weekly, March 23, 1994
Newmark & Company Real Estate, Inc. has been named exclusive leasing agent for Plaza 57, one of Manhattan's most prestigious business addresses, announced AMTAD New York, Inc., the tower's owner and developer.
Plaza 57, located at 145 WeSt 571h Street, is among the only "new breed" of Manhattan office towers to offer luxuriously pre-built full floors of 3,200 square feet - perfect for small users who desire the prestige of full-floor identity and a Plaza District location.
"Plaza 57 is uniquely positioned to satisfy a substantial demand in the marketplace," said Newmark Managing Director David Rosenbloom, the tower's Exclusive Leasing Agent. "Plaza 57 offers beautifully constructed, premium pre-built space for the small user who wants a prestigious address, full-floor identity, and aggressive rentals."
Built in 1991 by AMTAD New York, Inc., a subsidiary of Takenaka Corporation, a 350-year old company, Plaza 57 rises 22 stories above West 571h Street and Midtown Manhattan. Home to the prestigious Nippon Club and a number of influential corporations, Plaza 57 currently boasts just six remaining floors of available space.
Each floor measures approximately 3,200 square feet, offering "boutique" tenants the opportunity to command a full floor, complete with expansive Central Park and Midtown skyline views, private restrooms and impressive reception areas. Pre-built for immediate occupancy, individual floors will be finished with the highest quality of workmanship and materials, including features such as glass partitioning, full-height wood doors, upgraded carpet, kitchenettes, conference room and four windowed, private offices. The design is flexible enough to allow a variety of configurations to meet the needs of a wide range of tenants.
The stone and glass tower, an architectural stand-out, also offers 'every state-of-the-art amenity and technological capability. The lobby features a 24hour concierge, three high-speed Otis passenger elevators and luxurious custom marble floors. Security is ensured through a proximity card-key access system, video monitoring, and the stationing of a 24-hour/7-day doorman/concierge.
In addition, electricity is directly metered and air conditioning is handled on a floor-by-floor basis, with no overtime charges. Further, each floor is pre-wired for fiber-optic and cable communications.
