Fish & Neave moves HQ - Brief Article

One of the nation's most respected property law firms -- Fish & Neave -- will relocate its headquarters to 1251 Avenue of the Americas, owned by Mitsui Fudosan (New York), Inc., in a major expansion of their office facilities.

The 34-partner law firm will lease 103,000 square feet, encompassing the entire 49th and 50th floors, as well as a part of the 48th floor.

"Fish & Neave is our country's most respected patent law firm, and a prestigious addition to our already distinguished tenant roster," said Gregory J. Sutherland, vice president of Management and Leasing at Mitsui Fudosan (New York), Inc. "The firm has represented such legends as Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison and the Wright Brothers in connection with their patents. The selection of 1251 upholds the building's tradition as a headquarters for firms that are leaders in their fields of business."

The law firm will move into its new headquarters in Autumn Jerry L. Cohen and Ian Brownlie of Wm. A. White/Grubb & Ellis represented Mitsui Fudosan in the transaction as exclusive leasing agent. James B. Frederick of Abrams Benisch Riker, Inc. represented Fish & Neave.
