Father/daughter team joins Edward S. Gordon

The Edward S. Gordon Company, Inc. (ESG) has attracted to its Midtown office a successful brokerage duo that happens to be one of the New York's only father-daughter teams.

Ellen and George Israel, will join the ESG as managing directors in the firm's Investment Sales division.

Together, the brokers have consummated such noteworthy deals as the sale of the New York Post to Peter Kalikow in 1988, the sale of the 1 million-square-foot Ford Building, and, most recently, in a deal that closed January, 1993, the sale of I0 East 53rd Street, a 350,000-square-foot Midtown office building.

The Israels most recently served as senior managing directors of the Galbreath Riverbank Company.

George Israel earned a Bachelors degree from New York University, and resides in the Five Towns area of-Long Island.

Ellen Israel earned a Bachelors degree from Ithaca College. Active in numerous professional organizations, she is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, where she serves as co-chair of the Committee on Economic Development, The Israel Bond Real Estate Division and Hotel Division Committees, In Women We Trust, a member of YWMREA, and as chair of the Ithaca College Alumni Business Group.
