Smoke closes Midtown building

521 Fifth Avenue, an office building owned by Larry Silverstein, was closed Thursday and Friday after a water main break flooded some electrical equipment, which shorted out and caused a smoke condition. According to a Silverstein spokesperson, the building was set to reopen Monday.
