Designers lease on Madison

Real Estate Weekly, May 5, 1993

E. William Judson, president of Judson Realty, Inc., announced the leasing of the store and second floor at the southwest corner of Madison Avenue and 69th Street to Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs, Inc.

The firm, from Aurora, New York, specializes in the design and manufacture of dinnerware, linens, floor coverings, tiles, stationery, furniture, lamps and many other items.

Because of the success of MacKenzie-Childs' product lines, which have been sold through major department stores such as Bergdorf's and Neiman-Marcus, the firm sees a natural expansion of its business through the establishment of its own retail outlets.

The long term $5 million lease was negotiated by William W. Collins, senior vice president, and E. William Judson, president of Judson Realty, Inc.
