Groundbreaking held for new shopping center - National Realty and Development Corp. develops retail center in Stafford, New Jersey

National Realty & Development Corp. of Purchase, New York has broken ground on the marketplace at Stafford, a new 177,422- square-foot regional shopping center in Stafford, New Jersey.
Situated on the site of the former Manahawkin Airport at the southeast comer of Route 72 and East Road, the 36-acre shopping center will feature a 114,513-square-foot Wal-Mart and a 55,000 square foot Pathmark.
Construction costs are estimated at $11 million and approximately 300 construction jobs will be created. Once the Center is complete approximately 450 full- and part-time retail positions will be created. Construction will begin this month and the Center is expected to open in the fall. Two National Realty & Development Corp. is one of the leading developers shopping centers in the northeast with over 70 centers totalling 8 million square feet built owned and managed.
