Wm. A. White, Felt merge appraisal services - Wm. A. White division of Grubb and Ellis Co. merges with James Felt Realty Services

James Felt Realty Services and Wm. A. White/Grubb & Ellis Appraisal and Consulting Services are being united into one industry leading real estate consulting and appraisal organization.
The resulting organization will be named James Felt Appraisal and Consulting Services and will operate as a division of Grubb & Ellis Company.
Robert G. Von Ancken, 52, MAI, CRE, has been named president of the newly formed James Felt Appraisal and Consulting Services. He had been executive vice president of Wm. A. White/Grubb & Ellis Appraisal and Consulting. Services.
Announcement of the merger was made by Emmett R. DeMoss, Jr., director, management and consulting services for Grubb & Ellis, the full-service North American real estate firm headquartered in San Francisco. The merger will become effective on July 1.
Prior to the merger, Von Ancken also served as executive vice president of Wm. A. White/Grubb & Ellis Inc. The Wm. A. White organization has been a prominent name in New York real estate for 125 years. More recently it was known as Wm. A. White/Tishman East, Inc. The firm was acquired by Grubb & Ellis in 1987.
James Felt Realty services is a 60 - year old New York real estate Company that has specialized in valuation and consultation since 1945. James Felt Realty Services was acquired by Grubb & Ellis in 1982.
While the Wm. A. White appraisal group becomes part of the new consulting and appraisal organization, Wm. A. White/Grubb & Ellis will continue to operate under its existing name, providing real estate leasing and management services, Von Ancken said. Wm. A. White currently manages 18 million square feet of office space and employs 50 leasing specialists.
