In a deal arranged by Newmark Real Estate Services, the New York City Board of Education has signed a net lease to occupy the entire building at 220 West 58th Street, announced Barry Gosin, Newmark's president.
The Board of Education will renovate the 80,000-square-foot structure at 220 West 58th Street for use as an high school facility.
Newmark's Paul Davidson represented the Board of Education in this transaction. Joseph Grotto, Sr. represented the landlord, Devon Properties.
This is an important deal for the Board of Education, Davidson said. We were able to find a home for an high school and develop a creative use for a vacant office building.
