Film editor signs 10-year lease

Real Estate Weekly, Sept 29, 1993

In an expansion of operations, Betelgeuse Productions, one of the top five New York City post production and editing facilities, signed a 10-year lease for 12,136 square feet of office space at 475 Park Avenue South, New York.

The expansion necessitated the disposal of Betelgeuse's existing lease, at 460 Park Avenue South, to an affiliated company. The new space, located on the 10th floor of the building, will house front end offices for producers as well as administrative support.

Betelgeuse maintains its technical facility within the vicinity, at 44 East 32nd Street.

Paul Revson, managing director and David J. Goldstein, assistant director, in the Midtown New York office of Julien J. Studley, Inc., negotiated on behalf of the tenant in the transaction.

John Monaco, director of leasing at Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation, exclusive leasing and managing agents, represented the ownership.

The building, a 35-story office property, is now 96 percent leased.
