Jeffrey Fiedler to chair Einstein Young Men's

Real Estate Weekly, Sept 29, 1993

Jeffrey Fiedler, a Bronx business executive, has been elected chairman of the Young Men's Division of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Fiedler is president of Fiedler Roofing Company, Fiedler Waterproofing and Masonry Company, and Terrace Enclosures, Inc., all located in the borough.

In announcing the election, Burton P. Resnick, chairman of Einstein's Board of Overseers, cited Fiedler for his dedication to the College of Medicine and its Young Men's Division.

Founded in 1961, the Young Men's Division has been a major source of financial support for the College of Medicine. Its current fund-raising project is a $6-million effort to benefit the Young Men's Division Research Floor at Einstein. On this floor, advanced biomedical research into the structure of proteins involved in Alzheimer's disease, cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses, is being pursued. The Division is currently comprised of more than 1,400 of the metropolitan area's leading business executives and professionals.

A major supporter of the College of Medicine, Fiedler joined the Division in 1976 and worked his way through the Division ranks. Prior to his election as Division chairman, he served as a vice chairman and as chairman of the organization's annual Tour and Dinner, a major fund-raising event. In 1991, he received the College's Humanitarian Award for his outstanding business and community leadership.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Fiedler is president of the Roofing and Sheet Metal Crafts Institute, a trustee of the union's pension and welfare fund, and a member of the Roofing Consultants Institute. He is a contributing columnist to Better Buildings Magazine and a member of the House and Grounds Committee of Temple Israel of New Rochelle.
