Glen Raven's Feroe to Lead GTTAC

Bobbin, Dec, 1999 by Kathleen DesMarteau

Glen Raven Mills senior vice president Dick Feroe was named president of the Greensboro Triad Textile and Apparel Club (GTTAC) at the club's annual fund-raising gala this past October in Greensboro, NC.

Feroe, who assumes the two-year post previously held by Flynt Fabrics' Chuck Flynt, says he will focus on strengthening the club's scholarship program, which raised $20,000 this year. He also is planning a series of luncheon presentations for 2000 that will explore yarns/fibers, design/styling and branding/retailing.

At the gala, Feroe told Bobbin he is excited about leading the GTTAC because it provides "recognition for the textile and apparel business of America" while raising scholarship funds for the industry's future. "You don't look at the future as the problems we're going to have with imported goods. That's like a headache, and headaches go away," he emphasized. "The youth are what really are important for the growth of our business."
