Dementia practice directory - Product Spotlight

To advance the care of people with dementia, the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) has posted on its Web site a comprehensive listing of recreational therapists who have completed ATRA's approved training workshop and competency-based testing for ATRA's Dementia Practice Guideline for Recreational Therapy, which is intended for recreational therapists working with older patients with dementia in all care settings. Therapists listed in the directory have demonstrated competencies in using recreation therapy as an intervention for addressing disturbing behaviors in people with dementia/Alzheimer's disease.
