The beds offer 23" of travel--the mattress deck can be raised as high as 30" for caregivers' convenience and safety, and the sleep surface lowers to 7", reducing the risk of resident injury from falling.

With a 30" working height, back injuries and other cumulative trauma disorders can be reduced because staff bending is minimized, promoting a safe working environment. The adjustable-height feature provides ease of cleaning under the bed or retrieving items the resident may have dropped. The Joerns UltraCare bed's innovative design features toroidal architecture.
