Incontinence Management for residents with Dementia - Incontinence Management - advertisement

Nursing Homes, March, 2002

The Vigil Integrated Care Management System [TM] from Vigil Health Management includes Vigil(r) Dementia, Vigil(r) Nurse Call and Vigil(r) Duress. The Vigil Dementia System provides a means of summoning help without the resident being cognitively alert. Strategically placed sensors continually monitor the room to detect unexpected behavior. Incidents are automatically reported through a silent pager to the appropriate caregiver.

The system includes incontinence sensors that alert caregivers immediately when a resident has been incontinent. Vigil's reporting capabilities allow proactive planning for early-stage incontinence. If incontinence occurs at the same time every night, the Vigil software will record this, allowing staff to toilet the resident to reduce incontinent episodes.
