The Steritech Group, Inc., a provider of pest management services, has introduced a high-tech bar code monitoring program that helps eliminate excessive or unnecessary application of pesticides. Steritech's bar code technology tracks pesticide placement and usage, and allows Steritech's pest management professionals to track recommendations and degree of compliance, analyze pest activity, including seasonal trends, and make any necessary adjustments.
Each Steritech monitoring device or bait station installed at a job site is outfitted with a "zebra stripe" bar code. A Steritech pest management professional can key important information about the stations into a central database. Customers also can access information about each pest monitoring station for online tracking of their accounts via a secure Web site.
