Adaptive robe - Product Spotlight

Nursing Homes, May, 2003

The Handi-Robe[TM] by Creative Designs is an innovative unisex robe that can be put on without standing up. It allows a caregiver to dress and undress a resident without lifting, thereby reducing the chance of injury. The robe is designed for those who are physically challenged, disabled, and/or walker- or wheelchair-bound.

The Handi-Robe is made of high-quality velour terry cloth. While the resident remains seated, the hooded poncho-style robe is slipped over the head, and the back panels are tucked under the resident's hips and legs. The Handi-Robe also has a front zipper opening that allows easy access to the inside of the robe or a storage pouch. The flap covering the zipper opening can be personalized with names and/or logos. The robe's deeply scooped neck opening facilitates the use of ventilator hoses, and the wide arm openings allow for the easy transfer of IV bags.
