Hand-washing educational materials - Product Spotlight

Nursing Homes, May, 2003

Kimberly-Clark Professional has developed educational materials in response to the CDC Guideline for Hand Hygiene in Healthcare Settings. The materials summarize key sections and findings from the new Guideline.

The Guideline recommends the use of general purpose skin cleansers "when hands are visibly dirty or contaminated with proteinaceous material." It also recommends the use of alcohol-based handrubs as a key element in improving hand hygiene practices among healthcare personnel to reduce infection rates. The full Guideline is available at www.kcprofessional.com.
