MDS Education Software - American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators - Brief Article

Nursing Homes, June, 2001

The American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators is developing The MDS Education Program to help clinicians learn the assessment and regulatory aspects of the MDS process.

The program is designed as an independent, self-paced program. Each module of the program is convenient and accessible 24-hours a day, seven days a week online or by correspondence course. A module will generally consist of physical assessment standards of practice; instructional information, including source documents from regulation, instructor commentary, frequently asked questions, forms, tools and in-service aids; case studies; and an exam.
