Arjo, Inc.'s Tornado is a washer-disinfector for cleaning and disinfecting bedpans, urinals, and other contaminated receptacles without manual labor, The Tornado helps to minimiz the spread of Clostridium difficile and other harmful bacteria associated with washing bedpans. With the push of a button the Tornado empties, cleans, and disinfects bedpans and other containers safely and thoroughly. It reduces the risk of exposing residents and staff to splashing body fluids, hazardous aerosols and chemical disinfectants. It is environmentally safe, using economical steam disinfection rather than harmful chemicals The Tornado helps facilities meet OSHA requirements to isolate staff from exposure to hazardous body substances, including feces and urine.
