Nursing Homes, June, 2003
DeRoyal Industries introduces the Anlde Contracture Boot, a Static AFO used for positioning, pressure reduction, and light gait training. The "no-strap" closures allow for easy donning and doffing. The Boot is available with either fleece or Vel-foam softgoods that completely cover the splint, leaving no metal exposed. Each unit comes standard with a padded anti-rotation bar, padded toe piece, and mesh laundry bag.
The Boot is available with or without a boot sole, and offers an optional hip abduction bar. It is available in five sizes ranging from Small to Extra-Large and is suitable for indications that include hip rotation and drop foot. The Ankle Contracture Boot is part of a family of products designed to address contractures of the hand, wrist, elbow, knee, and ankle. DeRoyal also offers a complete line of products for general orthopedics, sports medicine, fracture management, and wound care.
