Incontinence Monitoring System - Brief Article - Product Announcement

Nursing Homes, August, 2001

Code Alert's DriTec[TM] Incontinence Management System is a wireless wetness-detection system that pages caregivers for assistance when episodes of resident incontinence occur. DriTec also records and reports detailed information that can be used to assess resident voiding patterns so that a regimented toileting plan can be implemented. DriTec also provides documentation for regulatory compliance.

The DriTec Incontinence Management System includes wetness sensor strips that are attached to radiofrequency transmitters. With a sensor strip inserted into a resident's brief, diaper or liner, the transmitter will relay a signal to a central computer when wetness is detected. The computer then forwards the message to the caregiver via pager.
